Dance of the Dead (Happy story. Don't get used to it.)

I had very little issue imagining this cover, since the story mostly concerns my cat, hence cats, and the ghosts of departed people dancing under the violin of death, hence that. The figures were fashioned after Warren D "Dancing Nymphs" which was a pain to translate into drawing, but turns out there's very little "dancing people" drawing niche. The cats were some online resource, same with the violin death. Originally it was pixel art.

So, after a very stressful weekend because my cat had gone missing, thankfully she came back, I found this "call for submissions" from Eldritch Cat Press, which had the guidelines of including cats, cemeteries, and songs, deadline like literally the day after. So, I decided, "Hey, my cat deserves a story of her own" and did just that.

It's not my usual type of stuff because it concerns her, and even I have some limits (Murder, suicide, and cannibalism OK, hurting cats not OK), so yes, there it is. Happy ending story, no melting people, no limbs flying around, spraying blood everywhere. Don't get used to it!
